Ensure the surface is free from debris, dirt and dust and is in good condition. Correct preparation is essential to ensure both successful application of the EPDM flat roofing system and long-term performance. (Visit the Permaroof Resource Library to download your full preparation guide).
When the EPDM membrane is laid over the surface area, allow the membrane to rest for around 30 minutes to allow packing creases to dissipate.
Apply the membrane from the centre of the roof, working out towards the perimeter edges.
Fold the EPDM back to expose around half of the roof substrate.
Use a 9” roller to apply water-based bonding adhesive to the substrate (timber only).
Roll the membrane into the adhesive and remove trapped air or wrinkles by smoothing with a soft bristle broom.

How can I calculate the lifecycle cost please? Many thanks.1 answer
Hi Alain, thanks for getting in touch with your great question.
To calculate the lifecycle cost, simply divide the cost of your roof project by 50 years. EPDM has been proven to last in excess of 50 years.
We hope this helps. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to call one of the team on 01773 441947.
