Step 1
During the process of installing the main rubber roof surface area, the EPDM membrane should be adhered to the substrate with bonding adhesive within 300mm of the drain outlet and the membrane cut away to reveal the drain hole.
Step 2
Insert the drain outlet accessory.
Step 3
Mechanically fix the outlet to the roof deck using V-plates and All-purpose fasteners, as recommended by the manufacturer.
Step 4
Using the recommended pad applicator, apply QuickPrime Plus primer to the area a minimum of 100mm beyond the perimeter of the flange. Wait for it to become tacky to the touch.
Step 5
Prepare a piece of SA flashing to a minimum of 75mm larger than the drain outlet diameter and apply to the primed area.
Step 6
Use the silicone roller to press out any air bubbles and to ensure total adhesion. Note that the QuickPrime Plus should still be visible around the edge of the flashing.
Step 7
Remove the SA flashing covering the drain outlet by cutting a hole around its diameter. It should be clear to see, but take care not to cut into the drain outlet accessory itself.
Step 8
Insert the leaf guard and you're done.
